Neal Benjamin is a licensed pharmacist and practicing attorney assisting long-term care, home health, and retail pharmacies in a variety of legal matters, including non-exclusively, operations, licensing, regulatory compliance, PBM[JM1] audits, and pharmacy sales and acquisitions. Neal’s practice is active in regulated substances, Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”), and healthcare regulatory compliance; cannabis and start-up business planning and permitting, as well as general corporate matters.
Neal’s practice draws on over 25 years of healthcare industry experience which included serving as general counsel for a long-term care pharmacy, uniquely positioning his clients to leverage his clinical experience in advancing their interests. His in-house perspective as a practicing pharmacist positions controlled-substances clients well in the face of industry and regulatory challenges. This allows for a common interest in a unique attorney-client relationship.
In addition, Neal previously served as general counsel for Woodshop Films, an independent full-service video production company which produced more than 60 original video series with over 1,200 video shorts, and many films, including several critically acclaimed and award-winning feature length films, documentaries, and television programs. Before that, Neal was a partner at Whitman Benjamin – a small boutique law firm focused on Telecommunications (CLEC Certification), Intellectual Property, Digital Media, outsourced General Counsel, and general corporate matters.
Over his professional career Neal Benjamin has worn many hats as a healthcare entrepreneur, pharmacy business owner, medical device inventor, and regulated substances attorney. He brings a comprehensive healthcare background, strong business acumen, and a high-energy, passionate, hands-on approach to his clients and practice.
